Grand City Racing is a 3D racing game that features amazing speed challenges. In this game, I could race against rivals, test myself in time trial races, or just freely roam about an extensive territory. It's a fun option for me when I want to experience that driving rush and vary my gaming instead of just racing on the same tracks over and over.
I like Grand City Racing because it has 3 different game types and each one is a totally different game. I can play it myself or with my buddies.
Here I test my off-road racing talents. There are 10 races in total, each offering distinct rewards. I will have to fight hard with four nasty AI racers. The incentives get better as the race goes on and I need to modify my car and learn the tracks to win and get as much money as I can.
Time for me to show off my top speed control skills. This mode has specific unfinished tracks on which you can race in “time-attack” mode. I have to conquer the hurdles and cross the finish line within the time restriction. The really cool part about this is that it's an uber effective way to make money if I play in single-player mode.
If I love to explore this is a limitless playground for me. A giant map of busy metropolis streets, winding mountain passes and dirt roads to tackle. I can Drive and enjoy the views. But I can also make money by collecting stacks of coins that pop up on the road (200 to 400 coins per stack) or doing combinations in specific circles to get rewards of up to 800 coins.
The controls were quite easy to get familiarised with, I was able to start right away.
Grand City Racing is not just racing but also developing my own dream car for myself. At the garage I can do:
What I love the most about Grand City Racing is that it’s not the graphics or the quantity of game modes but how the game continuously changes my mood in one play session – From spectacular rush of chasing in Racing Mode to relaxed satisfaction of meandering about the city in Free Drive. It’s a racing game that knows how to keep players hooked – not by being challenging, but by offering a varied range of sensations.
My experience with Grand City Racing shows how a simple racing game can stay engaging by giving me different ways to enjoy every session.
